A Letter from our Director

Welcome to Keystone Montessori School!

I founded Keystone Montessori School in 1998, with the vision of providing authentic Montessori education for young children. Keystone is unique in that it is founded, owned, and managed by Montessori trained leaders. With this Montessori-trained leadership, we are able to attract and retain the most talented teachers, and we commit to providing a full complement of Montessori materials in every classroom.

We pride ourselves on offering the programs and support our parents need.

  • We provide Parent Education workshops to introduce the Montessori curriculum.
  • We offer before and after school care (7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.), summer program, and holiday care.
  • We are innovative in our use of technology to keep regular communication with parents.

Our web site provides some introductory information about our programs and our staff. The pictures here give you only a small sample of the broad
curriculum we provide to children from preschool through grade 3. The best way to learn about Keystone is to contact us and arrange to visit the school.

As you browse our site, you’ll see children working with concentration on things that fascinate them:  from geometric solids, four digit addition, puzzle maps of every continent. Visitors to our school have remarked on how focused, calm, and attentive the students are, and how curious and inquisitive their questions are.

Parents of children who have graduated from Keystone write back to tell us “my child is way ahead of his peers in math”, “my daughter got the highest ever score on the MCAS”, “teachers say my son is a real leader in his class”. It has been thrilling to hear of our graduates’ success in Destination Imagination Nationals, at Phillips Exeter, and at many local public and private schools.

Give your child the gift of an educational foundation that will support growth and leadership roles throughout life. Our children learn more than the state frameworks require, but in addition, they develop confidence, leadership, conflict resolution skills, and an inner enthusiasm for learning and acting responsibly in our world.
