EEC-Certified Toddler Teacher, 8 am - 4 pm


Job Summary

Keystone Montessori School is looking for two EEC certified infant-toddler teachers (OR someone who is working towards their EEC certification and has multiple years of experience with this age group) to work Monday - Friday from 8 am - 4 pm year-round. You will be part of a team of 3 teachers for a class of 9 toddlers. The position requires a gentle, loving and kind demeanor, positive redirection techniques, excellent classroom management, assisting the children gaining independence, replacing activities where they found them, helping with toileting and supervising the children during lunch, playground and rest time. Familiarity with Positive Discipline techniques and ability to form positive relationships with the children in your care as well as a warm and compassionate personality with a fun sense of humor are important. This position is ideal for someone who is interested in furthering their experience in education and is a good entry level position for someone interested in joining a private Montessori school. The candidate must be open to learning and taking direction from senior educators as you adjust to the classroom.

Qualifications:

Aftercare Assistant Teacher (Beginners' & Children's House)


Keystone is seeking assistants in our aftercare programs for both Beginners' (infant-toddler) & Children's House (preschool & kindergarten) Monday - Friday:


Children's House: 2:30 - 6 pm

Beginners': 3 - 6 pm


Keystone Montessori School is looking for an EEC certified teacher (OR someone who is working towards their EEC certification and has multiple years of experience with the age group) to join a team of aftercare teachers. The position requires a gentle and kind demeanor, positive redirection techniques, excellent classroom management, assisting the children gaining independence, overseeing and monitoring children during snack, playground and activity time. Familiarity with Positive Discipline techniques and ability to form positive relationships with the children in your care as well as a warm and compassionate personality with a fun sense of humor are important. This position is ideal for someone who is interested in furthering their experience in education or an individual who is interested in joining a private Montessori school on a short-term or long-term basis. The candidate must be open to learning and taking direction from senior educators.


Hourly rate range: $18 - $23, depending on certification(s) and experience

  • EEC Certification (IT age group for Beginners', PS age group for Children's House) – required, OR someone who is working towards their EEC certification and has multiple years of experience with this age group

Substitute Teacher for Infant-Toddler Program


A substitute must demonstrate strong classroom management experience and the confidence to direct the classroom in a positive and fun way, representing our school in a professional manner at all times. They must have a positive attitude and be a team player. You can sub as little or as many hours as fits your schedule!


Hourly rate range: $18 - $23, depending on certification(s) and experience


Qualifications:

  • Dedication to the Montessori philosophy, positive discipline, and demonstrates a love for children and education
  • EEC Certification - preferred but not required
  • First Aid & CPR certification required

Substitute Teacher for Children’s House Classrooms (Preschool through Kindergarten)


Starting out as a substitute teacher is a great way to get your foot in the door at Keystone. It’s a great way to learn and grow as a teacher, learn about Montessori philosophy, and work in a professional environment with staff who are committed to early childhood education. You can sub as little or as many hours as fits your schedule. Additionally, if you prefer to work with a particular age group, that’s fine too!


Hourly rate range: $18 - $23, depending on certification(s) and experience

  • Experience working with children
  • Understanding of the Montessori philosophy – preferred, but not required
  • EEC Certification – preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty
  • Commitment to meeting the needs of each child
