Dedicated to authentic Montessori education, the administration and staff at Keystone Montessori are highly trained, talented, and love working with children. We  believe that great teachers are our best asset. We are a full member school of the American Montessori Society (AMS), Montessori Schools of Massachusetts (MSM), the North American Montessori Teachers' Association (NAMTA), and the International Montessori Council (IMC).

Education: EEC Director II licensed, Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education and Developmental Psychology, Bachelor's in Elementary Education, and Visual Arts, Teacher certification for birth - grade 8, AMS Early Childhood Teacher Certification from NEMTEC, Montessori School Management Certification from CMTE-NY, certified instructor for the International Network for Children and Families (INCAF) in Positive Discipline

About Cary: Cary has worked in Montessori education since 1977. She has worked in both public and private traditional elementary schools, special education programs, traditional preschools and daycare centers, and both A.M.I. and A.M.S. Montessori schools. She has been a keynote speaker for The Montessori Schools of MA, and presented parenting classes in Positive Discipline to the general public as well as to the Keystone parent community. Cary saw a need to create a Montessori school with Montessori-trained leadership that could support its educators in the same way that a Montessori teacher supports their students: respect for the individual, development of human potential and support of a caring community. She believes that success in school is directly related to the degree that children believe that they are capable and independent human beings and that inclusion in a learning community that supports diversity and tolerance is critical for children to build a healthy and positive world.

Hobbies: Reading (voraciously!), Travel, Organic gardening, Tending to houseplants, Spending time with her dogs, Exercising, Practicing natural health, Watching movies/streaming mysteries, Neuroscience and the developing brain, History, World politics, Economics, Design, Conflict resolution, Early language acquisition, Mental health, Meditation, Eastern studies, Environment, Ornithology, and All creatures great and small

Education: Bachelor's in Finance

About Lisa: After a career on the financial side of both corporate and small business settings, Lisa was intrigued by Montessori education at the school her children had recently joined. She took on an assistant teacher position there and very quickly felt the pull towards a new career in Montessori. In 2012 she moved to the Keystone area and stepped into her role as Assistant Head of School, overseeing the finances, admissions, family communication & relationship-building, as well as staff management.

Hobbies: Boating on the lake near her home with family

Grace Yannakakis

Education: Bachelor's in French & Political Science from Syracuse University, Master's in French Language & Literature from the University of Washington, Master's in Education Leadership from Teachers College Columbia University, Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Case Western Reserve University, AMS Leadership Credential (ongoing)

About Grace: Grace began her career in education teaching French and Latin to middle and high school students in an independent school in New Jersey. After 10 years of teaching, she pivoted towards the administrative side of education. While pursuing her Certificate in Nonprofit Management in Ohio, she chose to partner with Ruffing Montessori School and fell in love with Montessori. From there, Grace has held leadership positions in both traditional and Montessori settings as Head of School, Assistant Head of School, Education Director and now, her current role as Director of Faculty and Program Development here at Keystone.

Hobbies: Spending time with family (3 children, 2 dogs, 2 cats and 1 husband), cooking, traveling, gardening, yoga, meditation, dancing and playing music

Cary Williams is a passionate educator who started a small school more than 20 years ago and has sustained it with the help of a whole community of wonderful educators and families. Kaylin Beck

Education: Bachelor's in Interactive Media Development

About Kaylin: Kaylin has worked with children in a variety of different roles. She was an art educator and worked in curriculum building for YMCA summer programs, in environmental camps in northern Maine, and volunteered her summers in children's STEM programs. Post college and after a short time working in the video game development industry, Kaylin has returned to working with families and their children in educational settings, joining the Keystone team as of fall 2022.

Hobbies: Reading, playing games with friends, traveling, and going to museums

Why is Keystone special to you?: "As someone brought up in experiential learning in small class settings, and exceled in those environments, I love to see new generations thrive and grow in the same type of learning environment, and has given me, as an adult, a warm welcoming place to continue learning as well."

Erica Adelson

Education: Bachelor's in Arabic & Middle Eastern Studies from Smith College

About Erica: Following her language studies, Erica stepped into the assistant director role of a community language school in Cambridge, MA, combining her love for language teaching with an administrative role. After 7 years in that position, Erica brought her experience to the Keystone team and returned to a Montessori environment.

Hobbies: Watching movies/series in different languages, long walks with ice cream cones

Sibel D. Aydogan

About Sibel: Sibel's legal career has traveled with her between her home country of Turkey, as well as the United States. First as a trademark lawyer in Turkey, and then here as a mediator in the Attorney General's office and in an immigration law firm position, Sibel found a new passion and connection to Keystone after becoming a parent at the school. Inspired to get more involved in the community, Sibel has now shared her talents in both the classroom as a substitute and assistant teacher, in addition to being a pillar of the front desk team.

About Jenna: Since making her foray into the education field in 2006, Jenna has explored a variety of ages and settings as a teacher before zoning in on her calling: infant Montessori!

Why is Keystone special to you?: "I have always known that I was meant to be a teacher. Since graduating college in 2006, I have been on a search for a perfect fit. It wasn't until I found Keystone that I realized my search was over. Not only is Keystone a perfect fit for myself, as a teacher, but also my child."

About Nicole: After delving into childcare privately as a nanny and babysitter for more than 5 years, Nicole decided to formalize her entry into the field by pursuing an associate's degree in early education. She came aboard the Keystone team in Fall of 2022 to carry out a 150-hour practicum in assistant teaching as the last stage to complete her degree and became a part of the full-time staff.

About Mileydy: Mileydy has been passionate about working with young children from a young age herself, completing a high school vocational degree in Early Childhood Education and earning EEC certification upon graduation. Before joining Keystone in 2023 as a staff member in the toddler program, and as a substitute, Mileydy spent more than 5 years gaining experience in family childcare settings. In Spring 2024, Mileydy joined the full-time staff of the Magnolia infant classroom.

Hobbies: Spending quality time with my kids, going on vacation, road trips, and being outdoors

Olivia Howland

About Olivia: Olivia's interest in art took her to Switzerland for two years before returning stateside and becoming an art teacher’s assistant at a Montessori school in Colorado. Eager to explore more of the Montessori world, Olivia joined the Keystone team in 2023 in the Magnolia classroom. After gaining more classroom experience, completing coursework and mentorship at Keystone, Olivia stepped into the role of lead teacher in the new infant classroom, Baobab, in 2024.

Hobbies: Painting, skateboarding, learning languages

About Amanda: Amanda worked at daycares and as a nanny for more than 10 years before joining Keystone from 2019-2021, during which time she became passionate about Montessori. Amanda returned to Keystone in 2023 and now leads the Willow toddler room. She started AMS Montessori infant-toddler teacher training in October 2023 with the Center for Guided Montessori Studies.

About Iti: Iti had her start in childhood education volunteering in her local school district and was inspired to make it her career. She became a substitute teacher for the district, as well as an assistant teacher at a preschool, before finding a home at Keystone. Since her arrival here, she has contributed to the community as a substitute, assistant, before care teacher, and now assistant teacher for the infant-toddler program.

About Afshan: After an engineering career in the oil and gas industry, Afshan began teaching chemical engineering at the university level. Her children joined Keystone in 2019, and after seeing them flourish in the environment, she became intrigued with Montessori education and was eager to experience and facilitate Montessori firsthand.

About Amanda: Amanda began her career as a graphic designer for about 8 years, before starting her own company painting murals and faux finishes. After taking a break to start a family, she followed a new path of art and photography before putting down roots as a teacher at Keystone once her first child became part of the student community. Amanda's diverse skills have evolved her role from substitute, to art teacher, to assistant teacher, up to lead teacher.

Hobbies: Gardening, home improvement, being out in nature, exploring, and art of all types

Why is Keystone special to you?: "The community and the respect for children - I joined the Keystone community originally because it was a place where I felt my child was heard. I stayed because I saw that not only my child, but all the children, had their love of learning supported and nurtured. As it applies to the child, the Montessori philosophy is an integral part of the school’s way of being."

About Erica: As a parent of Montessori kids, right away Erica was impressed with the joy her kids had using the materials while learning. During the Keystone remote learning program, she assisted her child with the Montessori activities while gaining a better understanding of the philosophies, and was intrigued, so she jumped at the opportunity to become a teaching assistant at Keystone Montessori.

About Çhon: After moving to the US from her native Thailand in 2005, Charamphorn (Çhon) began her career in childcare as an au pair working with children from ages 2 - 10. Following the au pair role, she taught English and Thai to children, and in more recent years, served as an assistant teacher in a K-grade 4 after school program, followed by a toddler assistant teacher position for the last 2 years before joining Keystone in 2023.

Why is Keystone special to you?: "I find that Keystone is the place where children can learn to value their independence. This gives them a foundation of their capability in making good choices and seeking knowledge for themselves."

About Sadhna: Sadhna's career in education has spanned almost two decades! She spent 4 years as a teacher of preschool through 3rd grade in her native country of India followed by 7 years running her own licensed home daycare in the US before finding her place at Keystone in 2013 where she has worn the hat of substitute, before/after care teacher, and assistant teacher.

About Dhanashree: Dhanashree's career in education has led her to work with kids from Children's House up through Elementary. She is certified by the American Montessori Society as well as the Department of Early Education & Care. She has spent almost 10 years guiding children as a Children's House assistant for 2 years, CH lead teacher for 5 years, and upper elementary special aid for 2 years. She served as interim lead teacher for the Birch Room in the 22-23 school year before becoming lead teacher of KMS's newest Children's House classroom, Redwood.

Hobbies: Indian classical dance (Bharatnatyam)

Why is Keystone special to you?: "Keystone is special for me because I enjoy being in a Montessori classroom and working with children. Keystone Montessori has a positive vibe which all adults and children bring to school. I came to work for a week in summer 2022 and loved the culture and community at KMS."

Katarina Pecsi Marseglia

About Katarina: A native of Slovakia, Katarina first trained in hospitality before pursuing her love of teaching with a Bachelor's degree in preschool & elementary education. She worked as an elementary school teacher for children with special needs in an aftercare program for low-income families in addition to as a lead ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher for preschool & kindergarten students. Stateside, she completed a 2-year au-pair program to live, study & care for the children of an American family and later became a preschool teacher for a daycare before joining Keystone.

Hobbies: Spending time with family, cooking, traveling, yoga, nature walks, books, reiki (level 2)

Why is Keystone special to you?: "I loved my first day when I met my co-teachers; everyone greeted me with a warm smile. I felt that this was a place where everyone is kind and respectful, working towards the same goal."

About Kruti: Before joining Keystone, Kruti had taught language and culture at Shishu Bharati School of Indian Languages and Culture for almost a decade, in addition to leading a team of teachers as Head of Language Curriculum there. Since her arrival at Keystone, Kruti has displayed her talents in a wide variety of roles such as substitute teacher, Elementary assistant, Children's House assistant teacher, Before/After Care teacher, lunch assistant, and Discovery Care staff.

About Rita: Prior to her career in education, Rita spent her time in the software world as an engineer, leader & manager. However after subbing and working as an Elementary assistant at Keystone; her children's school, she was drawn to learn and do more with students, so she pursued her Montessori training to become the lead teacher she is today. Montessori is pervasive in Rita's family: both she and her husband attended Montessori schools and her mother was a Montessori teacher!

About Vrinda: Vrinda started her career teaching middle school and high school English in India. She joined Keystone as a Children’s House assistant when her son, and later her daughter, enrolled as students. Since then Vrinda has worked as assistant in several Children’s House classrooms at Keystone, and also in the Elementary classroom. Her fascination with the Montessori Elementary curriculum and philosophy inspired her to take the Lower Elementary training. She enjoys working with students at the Elementary level, and being a part of their

exploration of the world!

About Shelly: With 7+ years doing book-keeping and administration, plus 10+ years of social work experience, Shelly brings both organization and a deep sense of caring for the people in the Keystone community to her role as assistant teacher for Lower Elementary students.

Upon returning to the US, she rejoined the Keystone team and established her role as an Elementary assistant teacher.

About Suman: Suman has been in the field of education since 2002 and has tremendous experience working with children of all ages as a substitute teacher in both Chelmsford and Andover. Known by the children as "Mrs. B," Suman has been supporting the Keystone school community for many years both inside school hours as a teacher assistant, and lunch assistant, and outside as the After Care Coordinator and Discovery Care Coordinator.

Why is Keystone special to you?: "As a child, I was enrolled in Montessori and wanted the same for my son. When we toured Keystone for my son, we loved that the children come first. After my son went through his first year at Keystone, I saw how he loves his teachers, and seeing all of his excitement and understanding how the school works got me excited to be part of the school."

About Prabha: Prabha's passion for educating young children and Montessori philosophy have driven her at Keystone since its founding in 1998. Prabha has mentored several Montessori interns and also worked extensively with children who have special needs. Upon becoming a grandmother in 2023, she retired from her position of lead teacher for the Children's House Oak Room, and joined the sub team, continuing to support the Keystone staff and community. In 2024, she returned to the classroom part-time as interim lead teacher of the Oak classroom.

Hobbies: Reading, listening to music, nature walks with family, daily meditation, traveling and exploring new places

About Cristina: Cristina first joined KMS as a substitute in 2021, and then added on the role of Spanish teacher starting in the 22-23 school year. Back in her home nation of Spain, Cristina taught in a pre-K and kindergarten school for several years. Once in the United States, she taught Spanish to first and second graders in the World Language Program at Lane Elementary School in Bedford.

Hobbies: Studying languages, tennis, spending time with family and friends, traveling, visiting new places and learning about cultures and traditions

About Sujana: Sujana's journey in education has come full circle. Beginning as an assistant teacher at a Montessori school, she then worked at several other schools before she was drawn back to Montessori, this time at Keystone. Sujana first got involved with KMS as a substitute, became an assistant in the infant-toddler program, and has now returned to subbing.
