Montessori-Trained Lead Toddler Teacher, 7 am - 3 pm
Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated AMS or AMI certified Montessori teacher to join our team. Montessori teacher training means that you have completed the rigorous training and have received a certificate from either the American Montessori Society (AMS) or The Association Montessori International (AMI). Please do not apply for this position unless you have this certification. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive development of the toddler child. You will be responsible for implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities according to The Montessori curriculum for the toddler student.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with Montessori toddler curriculum.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages children to explore, learn, and grow.
- Monitor and assess children's progress in various developmental areas including social skills, language, and motor skills.
- Provide individualized attention to children with special needs or disabilities to ensure their inclusion in classroom activities.
- Maintain effective classroom management strategies through Positive Discipline methods.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development and any concerns that may arise.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the educational experience for all students.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
- A degree or certification in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- Montessori teacher training certificate from AMS or AMI.
- Experience working with toddler aged children in a Montessori setting.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Strong caregiving skills with experience in toddler care being an asset.
- Ability to manage a classroom effectively while fostering positive relationships with students.
- Experience working with children with special needs or disabilities is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with parents and colleagues.
- A patient, nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for teaching young children.

EEC-Certified Toddler Teacher, Various Shifts
Job Summary
We are expanding again! Keystone Montessori School is looking for EEC certified infant-toddler teachers (OR someone who is working towards their EEC certification and has multiple years of experience with this age group) . We currently have 3 shifts available: 7am to 3pm, 8am to 4pm, and 10am to 6pm, all Monday - Friday. You will be part of a team of 3 teachers for a class of 9 toddlers and will work with a Montessori-trained Director who will help you learn the basic principles of Montessori education for the toddler age. Additionally, we offer an online training for Montessori teacher assistants as well as the complete Montessori lead teacher training for the right candidate who is interested in long-term employment with our school. Position requires a gentle, loving and kind demeanor, positive redirection techniques, excellent classroom management, assisting the children gaining independence, replacing activities where they found them, helping with toileting and supervising the children during lunch, playground and rest time. Familiarity with Positive Discipline techniques and ability to form positive relationships with the children in your care as well as a warm and compassionate personality with a fun sense of humor are important. This position is ideal for someone who is interested in furthering their experience in education and is a good entry level position for someone interested in joining a private Montessori School. Candidate must be open to learning and taking direction from senior educators as you adjust to the classroom.

Elementary Spanish Teacher (Grades 1 -6)
Keystone is seeking a Spanish teacher for our Elementary Program (grades 1 - 6) on Tuesday & Thursday afternoons for the 25-26 school year (September - June).
The candidate must be enthusiastic about sharing the Spanish language and cultures with our students, and able to keep them engaged.
Candidate must be able to work independently, experienced with this age group, and able to modify the curriculum based on the students' needs.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children
- Understanding of the Montessori philosophy – preferred, but not required
- Commitment to meeting the needs of each child
- First Aid & CPR certification required
- Pay ranges from $35-50 an hour, depending on experience
Substitute Teacher for Infant-Toddler Program
A substitute must demonstrate strong classroom management experience and the confidence to direct the classroom in a positive and fun way, representing our school in a professional manner at all times. They must have a positive attitude and be a team player. You can sub as little or as many hours as fits your schedule!
Qualifications:
- Dedication to the Montessori philosophy, positive discipline, and demonstrates a love for children and education
- EEC preferred but not required
- First Aid & CPR certification required
Substitute Teacher for Children’s House Classrooms (Preschool through Kindergarten)
Starting out as a substitute teacher is a great way to get your foot in the door at Keystone. It’s a great way to learn and grow as a teacher, learn about Montessori philosophy, and work in a professional environment with staff who are committed to early childhood education. You can sub as little or as many hours as fits your schedule. Additionally, if you prefer to work with a particular age group, that’s fine too!

- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty
